Glitterbabes Challenge#5"School Days"

Thursday again, so it's time for another challenge from the Glitterbabe :D This week she would like us to make a card or project with the theme "School Days". I have chosen to use "Back to school"downloadable kit from JLJ designs. Infact the whole card is made from a single design sheet, all I've added is the glittercard, brads and pompoms. I think it will make a lovely card of encouragement for a little girl just starting school, or moving up to "big" school. What do you think?
Hope you can join us at Glitterbabes Challenge this week :D

Singing Snowmen

Todays card is the last in the series of challenges for Tuesday Morning Sketches 1st Birthday. The theme this week is "Christmas in July" and I've used Melissa's Sketch#25. The image of the "Singing Snowmen" is from Di's Digi Downloads, and is one of the 5 images I chose as my prize from last weeks Flutter by Wednesday Challenge win(gosh that was a long sentence, hope it made sense:D). The background paper is by Vanessa Arbuthnott and the sentiments I made myself on puter :D XXX

Dazzled by Love

Sorry about the photo quality today, I finally worked out how to use the macro button on my camera and now there is no light haha! I hope you will just trust me as to how sparkley this card is :D The image I've used is "Air Fairy"from Robyn's Fetish, and the words I typed on puter using free fonts you can download from loads of places(just type free fonts into search engine).
The challenges I am entering with this card are;
Critter Sketch#24
Pollycraft Mondays#54 "Love and Marriage"
Digital Tuesdays#69 "Dazzle Me"
I would also like to thank Dianne of Di's Digi Downloads for the awesome images I won at Flutterby Wednesday's last week :D, will be using them soon :D

Vince's Conkers!!

You know it's very rare that I have a card ready for monday morning blogging, and today was no exception, but I managed to put this little number together in just 5 minutes!!! The amazing artwork and background paper are a freebie(pdf file)called "Conkers", from the extremely talented Vince Ballard over at Vince's Crafty Moments. The sentiment I made myself with my "My Craft Studio" graphics programme. The image came already coloured, so like I said a very quick card indeed(and yes the "conkers" are free swinging)

Bauble Tilly

This card is a little busier than I would normally like, but if we don't try things a bit different now and again, we don't learn do we :D. I've learnt that sometimes your colours can match too well, as you can hardly make out the fact that I've "laced" organza ribbon over the lace border down the side of the card :$. I have used " Tilly and bauble 1" from Digital Doodling, and foiled the spots(much pinker in real life) and Tilly's crown and hearts. The dp is from Brenda Pinnocks Sucerie collection.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:

TMS week 3 and Mini card

The buttefly card is for this weeks challenge at Stamp + Fun = Creativity, which was to make a mini card( 4"x4"). I had this butterfly image already printed and coloured and as it is 3.5" square it was perfect :D The image was a freebie at Cuddly Buddly.
The Sarah Kay card is for Tuesday Morning Sketches 1st Birthday week3 "what reminds you of summer?" I've used Melissa Craigs sketch#39. Walking barefoot in the garden is how I think of summer, so that's probably why I love Sarah Kay's images so much. :D

Introducing Nana Vic

My dear friend Beccy has a blog candy running til 31st July, to introduce us to the maevellous "Nana Vic", who is a relatively new digi artist. I say relatively, because I managed to miss Beccy's original post (bad Gina :(). There are 2 pictures because Beccy has already added to the original candy. You don't have to become a follower to join in, just post the candy and leave comments for Beccy (linking your post) and Nana Vic to show her some support( though when you see her stuff you'll probably want to buy, so be warned :D )
Sorry this is late Beccy !

I made 2 cards last night, for totally different challenges, that somehow feel the same? Maybe it's the crawling thing? Anyway, bear with me cos I might get the challenges mixed up haha!
The 1st card is totally clean n simple, just love this cute image. He is called " ff Willie" I've included the ff bit cos I can't for the life of me remember where I got him from, so if you recognize him PLEEEEASE let me know so I can give proper credit! I an entering him for Anything Goes Challenge Blog#8 "Stars" and Digital Tuesday#68 "Happy Birthday"
The 2nd card I made with the secret freebie we got for the "Flash your Freebies" challenge at Pollycraft this week called "turtle hugs"(soo sweet). The second part of the challenge is to make a card with it and the theme "think green". The sentiment is from Paulette at Create with TLC, and I am entering this one for Pollycraft"Flash your Freebies" part 2 and Just Inspirational #4 "use a digital image"
Phew! That felt longer than it looks! :D

Possible "New" challenge blog

SuzzaneK is considering starting a new challenge blog for rubber stampers. I love using digital images, but have always enjoyed getting messy with the rubber(haha, how deviant did that sound!). She needs to know how popular an idea this is, so if you agree it would be fun, pop over to her blog "Here" and sign in as a follower to show your support :D

More Collage!

I won another collage sheet from Dezinaworld this week "WOO HOO!" I chose "Autumnal 1" and made this Tag . What do you think of it?

Carrie doesn't live here anymore!

This Clean n" very "simple card is for 2 challenges. 1st Tales from Pollycraft's "Flash those Freebies" and 2nd Crafty Ann's challenge#19 "Sir Cliff Richards songs". As soon as I saw Crafty Ann's challenge I couldn't get a certain song out of my head "Carrie doesn't live here anymore...", remembered this awesome freebie from Pollycraft called "New Home" and knew it would be perfect :D
Technique; print direct to card and coloured with promarkers! Couldn't be simpler.

Quick post

I had this card on my desk ready for another challenge, when Winter Wonderland announced their latest challenge "Glittery Angels". The image is from Glitterbabe, and the papers are by Vanessa Arbuthnott. Couldn't not use it really could I :D I'll make a different card for the other challenge, the more Xmas cards the better :)

Glitterbabilicious!!

Today is the start of Challenge#3 at Glitterbabes Challenge Blog. We have a lovely easy sketch to follow, and I've used it to make this sweet blue and white "country duck" card. I've glittered all the little sparkley dots, and coloured the patches/bill and legs with a sakura sparkle pen. I didn't have any blue gems , so I coloured the clear hearts with my promarkers :D

I think it will be going in my christmas card box, because it reminds me of those old cartoons we used to get about toys coming alive with the magic of Christmas. The papers are by Vanessa Arbuthnott, and the gorgeous image is ,of course ,by Glitterbabe.

The second piece is an ATC I've made using 2 more Glitterbabe images, "Sparkle Flower" and "Cotton Reel". The theme for the Craft Den ATC Challenge#July is "sewing" and I couldn't resist using the reel to wrap some thread around, and I've partially stiched over the flower petals. The background is splattered Mica powders and is lovely and shimmery.

Be Thankful!!

I made this card with a few challenges in mind, so I'll try and word this in the order of "oow! I can add that from this!"
I started with the "checklist" Inktegrity, who are sponsoring this weeks Tuesday Morning Sketches challenge "1st birthday/week2", so I then went through TMS's back list to find a sketch to suit. I chose Melissa's sketch#48
I thought the checklist sounded like you were thanking someone, so I added the image from Sleikje "banner", and put "Thankyou" in the banner to fit Critter Sketch Challenge#22 "Thankful"
I then noticed I'd used more than 3 layers of paper, so I added the beautiful glittery butterfly, which meant it now worked for this weeks Flutterby Wednesday's challenge#113"at least 3 layers ". And once I'd added the shiny hearts, the whole thing worked for Anything Goes Challenge Blog#7"Sparkle and Shine.
Sometimes life just works :D
And I know your expecting my post for this weeks Glitterbabe Challenge, but I think I've cracked the "scheduling thing" so it should appear around 12.30pm today(GMT) so fingers crossed :D

A Wish for Hazy Summer days !

Hi folks, been working on something a bit different this week :D I got these 4 inch (maybe 5) mdf letters for 29p each out of a sale bucket, and decided to decorate them. I painted them with white undercoat emulsion, then coloured them with inks, overstamped with Dovecraft's Fantasy Fairies and added wooden embellies. What do you think! I'm quite pleasesd with how they turned out :) Think I might just stick them straight onto my Kitchen wall (when hubbies not looking of course hahaha!)

Scrappy Christmas!!!

Ooh! La La Creations challenge#58 "Christmas in July" gave me the perfect excuse to use this gorgeous image from Roberta aka The Prairie Fairy. It's called "Sugarplum Fairies"and I adore it!! I've used it in combination with Scrappy's Sketch#40 over at Catch the Bug Challenge Blog, and Sentimental Sunday's challenge#11" I can see clearly now"( the clear dome sticker as a bauble)

Sun and Ice !!

I have 2 cards to share today, both using images from the amazing Jodi at Bugaboo Stamps.

The 1st is a bright sunny card using "Beach Peeker", and is for Anything Goes Challenge#6 "Seaside", Cute Card Thursdays#120 "School's out for Summer", and follows this weeks Sketch Saturday Challenge#111

The 2nd card is a Christmas Card, which uses this weeks freebie from Bugaboo Stamps "Mary and Joseph". I've used the sketch from Moving along with the Times Challenge for this week.
I resisted the obvious with the last challenge(though there are some absolutley gorgeous mousey images out there :D) and went for the religious side of Christmas, Mary and Joseph looking for a place to stay. And wasn't Joseph an amazingly special friend to Mary? Didn't he look after her even though he knew it wasn't his baby she was carrying, that takes a really special man, and I think sometimes he doesn't get the credit he should!

Icecream Sunday's!!

Morning Folks, this weeks challenge at Cowgirl's Sunday is "Ice cream/Sherbert", and what we would like you to do is produce a piece inspired by your favourite flavour, simple! I chose "raspberry ripple" which allowed me a colour palette of pinks and creamy white. I've chosen to use Teacup Fairy#05 from Cowgirl's Up Digital Stamp'en Ranch, because of her "stripiness" which reminded me of the stripes of raspberry sorbet running through the creamy vanilla icecream....(drool haha!) The layout is Sketch#3 is from Melissa Craig at Tuesday Morning Sketches.

And this is what it looks like now I've remembered to add the ribbon and buttons for the recipe challange at Just Inspirational Derrr!
Posse 2 are on duty this week, and as our sponsor for this challenge is "Delicious Doodles", they have used images from that store in their lovely creations. The prize will be your choice of 3 images from Delicious Doodles, so why not check out Posse 2's posts to see what you could be winning?I am entering this card for the following challenges;

My Random life!!

Sorry if I haven't been commenting much this week, I've tried to get round any new challenge entrants, but can't remember who else I have or haven't visited since monday :( Got home tuesday evening to find hubby on floor in agony, with 11 year old trying to look after him!!!! Now hubby doesn't get sick (mostly just broken bones from sporting accidents) so I knew it was bad. Had to call ambulance to get him to hospital, and fortunately I have an amazing friend who dropped everything (9.30pm) to come and sit with Chunky Monkey while I went with hubby. At 5.15 am they still hadn't decided if it was Kidney stones or Apendix, so I had to leave him to let my friend go home to her own children. At around 11.00 am hubby passed a 5mm kidney stone!!!! and is now feeling a lot better(I hadn't slept from 6 am tuesday til 8.30pm wednesday). The hospital told him that this is the nearest a man comes to feeling what a woman goes through while giving birth, he says I'm amazing (didn't use drugs during labour, he took everything the would let him hahaha!) I'm making him work from home for the next couple of days, which means he'll need my computer, so if I don't get to you, remember I still love you :DXXX

Any way, back to the fun stuff!

Today is the start of Glitterbabes Challenge#2, which is a colour combi of Orange/Pink/Turquiose, not 3 colours I would use together normally, but that's why they are called Challenges right? Well this is what I came up with, and I'm rather pleased with how it turned out :)
The image is called "Little Girl" from Glitterbabe's Art Shop, and I've glittered the spots on her hat n pinnifore, and the flower sprigs. I also glittered the back of the acetate butterflies(1 in each of the challenge colours) but I don't think it shows on the pic. The stamped sentiment is from Dovecraft by Kate Knight.
Remember, you don't have to use Glitterbabe's images, but she has some freebies if you would like to try them. Whatever else the challenge is, the bling is the thing ;D so enjoy. and I'll try to get to you all later.

Not so "Simply Summer"

I started making this card to fit 2 challenges, but it ended up being for 6!!! So if you don't mind I'll list them at the end :) I've been wanting to use these papers forever, they are from DCWV's Vacation collection. The image is the beautiful "Christy" from CJ at Cowgirl's Digital Stamp'en Ranch, and I've used her just because I wanted too(as opposed to as a dt requirement)
Now the list;

Loads to post!!!

While blogger is playing nice I thought I'd better get some stuff posted:) This 1st card is for Bah Humbugs challenge#25 "Less is More". I've simlpy embossed the tree(cuttlebug folder), burnished with a little ink, added 1star brad and a small piece of ribbon. That sounds a lot more than it looks :D

Next we have my entry for this months ATC Swappers Challenge "Seeing Quadruple", which meant making 4 identical atc's. Now this sounds quite straightforward, but I have never made anything identical in my life!! I'd go out of my way to make sure everything I make is unique, so I really had to concentrate on this one and kept it simple.

Last, but definitely not least, is my entry for the new Stampman ATC Challenge"Wings". We have to make 3 Atc's for this challenge, but could interpret"wings" any way we liked.

Hope you liked :D XXX

It's time for Challenge#6 at Cowgirl's Sunday!

Howdy folks! And welcome to this weeks challenge at Cowgirl's Sunday Challenge!!

Our challenge for you this week is "Scallops and Embellishments".

Went a bit nuts with both on my card this week, but I think it turned out quite pretty in the end. The back ground paper, which already had a layered scalloped lace effect is form K&Co's Roam stack. The antique cream scallop lace I bought years ago as a remnant from a haberdashers, and the gorgeous faery is of course the beautiful "Bella"from CJ at Cowgirl-up Digital Stamp'en Ranch! Hasn't she got the most distracting eyes??

For our winner this week we have another gorgeous selection from" Crafty Ribbons"+ 2images of their choice from Cowgirl-up Digital Stampen Ranch,

and we would all like to thank the folks at Crafty Ribbons for their support, as they have agreed to sponsor our challenges at regular intervals as well as our Blog Hops!! YAY CRAFTY RIBBONS!!!

Wishing you a lovely day of crafting, love as always Gina x x x

Anything Goes Challenge Blog#5 Vintage

Here is my entry for this weeks challenge at Anything Goes Challenge Blog. Their theme this week is "Vintage", which is one of my favourite styles. I've tried to keep it quite clean n simple, though the urge to pile on the lace and doillies is killing me haha! The image was sent to me by a blogging friend, but she didn't label it. I think it's a Tilda Stamp so I will credit it to Magnolia Stamps(please let me know if this is wrong and I will correct it). The background paper is from K&Co's Classic K Bailey collection, flower and ribbons from stash.
Enjoy, love as always Gina x x x

I have been reliably informed that the image is a "Hangler Stangler"

The New Challenge on the Block!!!

Hiya Folks! It's finally arrived!!! Glitterbabe(aka Stef H) felt we needed a bit more sparkle in our lives, so it's "no holds barred " over at the "Glitterbabe's Challenge Blog". That's right, if you've got a" thing for bling" this is the place for you!! You don't have to use Stef's own images( I am) but you do have to use lots of glitter n sparkle. It's easy to play, there will be themes of course, colour combis etc, but what you need to remember is "The Blings The Thing!" and to get you all started, the theme for this week is (no prizes for guessing)..........

" Make It Sparkle!!!!!!"

And here's my little offering for a bit of inspiration:D

The "celebrate" sentiment is from Glitterbabe, and the fairy is from a Dezinaworld collage sheet.

The most important thing with this new challenge blog(apart from the sparkly stuff obviously) is to have fun :D

Love as always Gina x x x
Just incase you think I've lost the plot, the original pic wouldn't enlarge so Iv'e added a new one at the top of post. I just don't know how to delete the old one without deleting the whole thing(Derr!! you know by now I'm not very technical;D)
