Verses 17 and 18 "The Lady of Shalott"

Two sketches before the final painting :) One a clear portrait in black pencil, the other using 3 colours, yellow/blue/brown to capture a moment."Heard a carol, mournful, holy,
Chanted loudly, chanted lowly,
Til her blood was frozen slowly,
And her eyes were darkened wholly,
Turn'd to tower'd Camelot.
For ere she reached upon the tide
The first house by the water-side,
Singing in her song she died,
The Lady of Shalott.
Under tower and balcony,
By garden-wall and gallery,
A gleaming shape she floated by,
Dead-pale between the houses high,
Silent into Camelot.
Out upon the wharfs they came,
Knight and Burgher, Lord and Dame,
And around the prow they read her name,
The Lady of Shalott.

See you tomorrow for the final verse and image, which will be entered for Magaly's "Sexy, Dark and Bloody Fiction Party" over at Pagan Culture, where we are rebelling against stereo-typing in literature :D XXX
