It's time for the monthly challenge at Mind Wide Open....just one week to create something using the image provided!!! I have to say, I am surprised how I thrive on the challenge of a short deadline :D
...and this is my creation for this month...
The image provided this week is called "family in black"
I decided to make a wall hanging, by glueing it to a piece of art board...
obviously some inks and stamping was required first :D
And I added a mat of design paper from my scrap box...
and a couple of antiqued eyelets(cropodile made holes very easily).
Now to trim...a strip of natural hessian...
some floral border "stuff" I got from Joanna Sheen's online store, a couple of acetate butterflies, a book ticket,
...a shiny pink pendant threaded onto a black satin ribbon(cut a few flowers from the border stuff)
...and a length of pink cotton lace to hang with(though I think I need to shorten it a bit). Oh, and I felt a date was necessary...so it is just a random date that seems to fit the image :D
Enjoy :D XXX
I wish I had some old family photos like that. Looks amazing!

ReplyDeleteA fabulous way to display an old photograph. I love the backing and your use of embellishments it all fits together so well.
ReplyDeleteThank you for a very lovely parcel that got delivered today. I think I recognise some of the bits from your hanging lol. The book is fabulous and as I have had to come on an emergency babysit I have brought it with me to sit and design some layouts for Christmas cards, Di useful thanks. I also love he tag and other things inside the beautiful box you found. I am deeply touched by your kindness Gina and thank you so much for your generous RAK
Sorry I am on the iPad and it is difficult to correct sometimes using it. So I ended up hitting the wrong button before editing and completing. But what I was saying was I love it all and want to say a huge thank you.
