OMG!!!! Magaly Guerrero!!!!
You crazy Witch :D
First time I went out in ages yesterday, and of course that was when the postie tried to deliver a parcel :S
Hubby went out at 7 am this morning to collect it from the depot...and it was from Magaly.
As I opened it the gorgeous smell of old roses greeted me...underneath, an equally gorgeous novel(which I am going to read).
Under the autumn leaves and dried rose petals, more goodies :D
This gorgeous brass sun dial, who's motto reads
"Grow old along with me, the best is yet to be"
and a fabulous metal framed motivational poster :D
All wrapped in scrunchy autumnal splendour :D
I have to try and uncurl this humungous maple leaf without breaking it ...perfect for ....oow, was going to say journal page, but I can hear a large canvas screaming at me :D
Thank you Magaly...love them all :D XXX
Wow...you lucky girl!! What a fabulous parcel...and an inspired idea to pack it with autumn leaves....can't wait to see your canvas!!

Lucky you :) Really a wonderful surprise.
ReplyDeleteYes, beautiful composition of autumn leaves and dried roses, pretty picture. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteWow!! What beautiful gifts! I know you will treasure everything Gina ;o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a treat! Magaly is intuitive, indeed :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sooo happy you like it! I collected the leaves from all over New York City and the roses were given to me after I read AlmaMia at a coffee shop. I brought the tree you painted (happy place) and set it on the podium and talked about AlmaMia's mango tree before I began reading the story. Everybody loved the tree and the tale, so I figured the leaves would be perfect for you.
ReplyDeleteOh, and everything was dried on my altar. I have a feeling you'll like Isabel Allende. There is a lot of history in her writing. Her descriptions, word choices and tone, remind me of your post cards ;-)
