A Haunting we will go...

You already know I totally love this time of year...
and ALL 6 of these characters are currently on sale($1 each at time of typing)
so it would have been rude not buy them all lol.
I wanted to make some seasonal bunting.
I printed all 6 characters quite small
and coloured carefully in "pumpkinny" coloured Promarkers...
before tearing out each one and edging with a mid grey promarker.
I had some white tags the size I wanted, but used one as a template
because I wanted Orange ones.
I thought they looked like gravestones,
and I adore the patterns left on stone by ivy.
Found a "branchy" stamp which gave the effect I was looking for.
I then matted onto black cardstock and punched holes
with a pokey tool and an eraser....
before remembering I had a crop-o-dile!!!
*which made adding eyelets much easier*
I have a paper that is all embossed words a la Halloween.
This was perfect to cut titles from...
6 tombstone tags ready to thread onto ribbon :D
These will probably never get put away lol
:D Enjoy XXX

I hate batch making cards....

EXCEPT.....at this time of year :D

I bought these images from SBS Halloween stamps earlier this month
*Original SBS steampunk images currently on sale(don't know for how long)...yes I bought them all*
Selected  Promarkers keeping my colour palette really traditional...
made the background cards to match each image using
Tattered Lace Halloween and Visible Image "Mr Bone Jangles stamps...
and then just added a single colour to add interest.
Chose coordinating colours to "edge" the images before
gluing them flat to the card.
Loving how these turned out...very CAS and lightweight to post.
but full of creepy yumminess :D

Sweet Dreams or Nightmares?

So excited!!!
I won and was "awarded" on quite a few challenges over the last 2 weeks
And was invited to be a Guest DT at the FABULOUS

Their theme for the next 2 weeks is

*Now you know this wasn't going to be a happy topic for
"Mrs Dark and Moody"  here lol*
I approached the project by gathering some
"Halloweeny" stash and pink promarkers.
I decided to make my own background using distress inks...
 and stamps.
This was then matted onto black card
before adding to base bright pink satin card.
I coloured 2 characters from Simply Betty Stamps
*Rio 13 Bday and Trouble from Toxic kidz*
and then grabbed my mini alphabet stamps from Papermania.

I love to make my own embellishments...
especially when adding a sentiment :D

Whatever your colour options, I hope you
have a "wicked" Halloween
Mwahahahahaha..... :D

Quirky? ... or just weird :D

This week at LOC the challenge is to make something "Quirky  or Weird"
While the August's challenge at Dream in Darkness is to get Steampunky.
These are two styles that work really well together, and on the theme of "togertheness"
I decided to blend physical crafting with digi crafting...just because I can :D

I started by stamping and stencilling a selection of cogs/clocks and whatnots onto a piece of craft card stock...
I already knew the images I was going to add.
(coloured with markers)
Again colouring around the image helps to soften the outline against the background.
You can never have too many cogs on a steampunk project...
die cut card inked and highlighted with metallic ink...
to add a bit of dimension.
Don't you just love Gwendolyn's saucy attitude?
I then uploaded this photo into my graphics programme
(I use Serif Craftartist 2)
and added the frame/legend and gnome :D
*Staring at my Pumpkin is going to get your Mangle Wurzled*

I know....but I is just weird lol
Enjoy, and a Blessed Lammas to all XXX
