DTing for Dream Valley Challenge.

Yes folks, I have the privilege of joining another DT team.

This is my first post for

I started by selecting some papers from my stash...
Don't forget to try paper pads that aren't necessarily "seasonal"...
torn glitter card gives a nice frosty effect...
and a simple colour palette can be very effective.
I wanted to add a die cut sentiment, but the blues kept
disappearing against the background...
so I coloured a piece of glitter card with my promarker,
BUT the pen reactivated the glue on the card and it stuck in the die.
*torn sentiment*
Second time round I let it dry longer and it worked fine :D
a couple of hand made flowers to match and done :D
Enjoy :D XXX

Colour me Happy..

Did I say how much I love this time of year???
*even thought the leaves have hardly turned at all yet here*

This panel is inspired by the following challenges;
(Autumn colours)
(this weeks sponsor Bugaboo stamps)

I started by building a scene with my X-cut Graveyard die set,
using inks and the waste of the inner die to create a misty background.
Next I replaced the waste for the top layer and added interest to the
outer frame by stamping with various plants and leaves...
now that looks so much creepier to my eyes mwahahaha....
Not exactly difficult choosing  "autumnal" colours with my
stash of Promarkers...
and I had a sweet little witch image from Bugaboo that I've been dying to use.
The phrase "festive pumpkins" made my mind wonder to Christmas...
so my little witch is building a "snowman"  out of Pumpkins :D
So to those who stress over MY favourite celebration I say...

Enjoy :D XXX

Halloween Honeys...

My 3rd GDT project for

No surprise...I have quite a stash of Halloween papers and card stock to go at...
and again I am using 2 of the images I got from
I used an easel fold card and created a little
scene for the creepy couple to meet up in...
and I think she looks quite pleased with his offering :D
Stamped pumpkins onto dotty orange card stock
and fussy cut them to use as embellishments.

Enjoy :D XXX

Falling for Colour...

My second GDT Post for

I could look into that image all day, but then I'd never get anything done lol
I won a selection of images from Bugaboo Stamps at the start of the month and thought this little cutie"Skelekidzgirl" would work well with these colours :D
The easiest way to begin on a colour challenge is to raid your scrap box for any card stock in the appropriate colours...you don't always need a full sheet of each colour.
I cut the image with a die and punched flowers and leaves from the scraps...
I didn't have a large piece of the pale blue left,
so I coloured my base card with a matching ink pad...
The brown wrapping paper looked more effective with torn edges
and I think it gives a wonderful "crisp" autumn leaves feel to the
finished card :D
Again I rummaged to find a suitable sentiment.
A little sprinkling of frosty glitter and gold pearl drops for flower centres
and the card is complete :D
