Cherish the Pink

The new challenge over at
is
Sponsored by Di's Digis and Crafty Ribbons.

As I have mentioned previously I don't really "do" pink,
so I decided to buy myself a "pink" paper pad and embrace
my weakness :)
This paper is like old faded wallpaper, which made me happy,
and I matched my Promarkers to it.
I chose a muted palette to give a vintage feel,
using skintone Fleximarkers and 3 pinks.
Revisiting old techniques I made a paper flower by
 punching out matching papers ,
stacking and fixing together with metal brad,
wetting and scrunching up and leaving to dry.
Once dry you can unfold the petals to get a vintage
 dried up rose feel.

Enjoy XXX

Have yourself a Furry little Christmas.

Time for another Dream Valley Challenge

sponsored by

 I used Di's "Hibernating Hedgehog"

I think this image is just so sweet I didn't want to
overpower it, so kept the background colours soft,
and the promarker shading subtle.

(close up to show glitter)

Card stock and blue trellis from my Anna Griffin stash.
Blue swirly paper and sentiment Paper Artsy "Raisin" collection.

Short and sweet...just like a hedgehog :D

Four-legged friends

over at
our sponsor is

I won several images from this store recently
and chose to use
Daisy Trail....*so cute*

Rather than a flat image or regular decoupage
I thought this image would work well as a "pyrimage"
So I printed it 3 times and cut them into 3 decreasing layers.
Layered together the images magically blend again :D
I had a piece of 8x8 pattern paper in my scrap box with a bit cut out...
trimmed it fit nicely on a piece of 8x8 card(which I had folded to make
a long slim landscape card)
Now to colour the layers...
checking they still matched as I went along...
Such a cool technique :D
Once coloured, I glued the first layer flat to the card base
before adding foam tape to the other layers.
This was the stressy part...but adding wet glue to the tape
gave just enough wiggle time to get the images lined up
nicely :D

A hint of glitter on the backing paper, and a very
cheerful little card for any occasion.
