Did Blogger get a face lift?

Well Hello !!!
Yes I am still alive, I just got caught up modding a FaceBook Group.
IKR! Can you imagine how insane you'd have to be to leave me
incharge? mwahahahaha...the POWER!!!
Anyhoo, I have been making junk/journals with free digi papers,
while also doing this years Life Book course over at
Willowing.com
so I thought I'd show you a few pieces I've done so far...

Cock a doodle Bloom with Eulalia Mejia

Book of Wonders with Angela Anderson

Whispers of gratitude with Tamara Laporte

Beginings with Melanie Rivers

Re imagine with Kim Dellow

Come to my tea party with Pamela Thornton

Harmony with Nadyia Duff

We all have wings with Toni Burt

Wishing stones stack with Andrea Gomoll

Wonder fox with Tamara Laporte

Moon Oracle with Tamara Laporte

Head full of Dreams with Megan Quinlan

And I made my journal cover with the art I made for the
warm up Mandala session with Tamara Laporte

My word for 2024 is "SERENITY"
so I chose a colour palette to work in that I find both
calming and peaceful
(cos we could all use a bit of calmness after the past few years)

Unqualified failure...

Well I totally failed to keep up with my blogging in 2022!!!

Oh the shame!

My only defence/excuse is that I have no real excuse.

I blame family life, chaotic situations concerning loved ones

and the same old same old aches and pains ...

But, I've always had the aches and pains, so why am I giving in

to them now?

I guess I just need to give myself a stern talking to and get on

with life while I still have one!!!

Children, grandbabies and life should not be an excuse to do less,

rather a reason to enjoy things even more.

So look out 2023, this battered old hag is coming for YOU!

"Let yourself Bloom"

I can't even fathom how this was the last class I did...
PYH&S week 30 (they are now doing week 50)

Some wise words from a youthful family member...
A nephew asked why I was limping, I reminded him that I
was old and worn out.
His reply was,
"when we get old there are 2 things to be,
old and worn out or old and Dead.
Better to be old and worn out"

I laughed. He is right, and I am certainly not
ready to lay down permanently just yet :D
Be seeing you soon.

The art of "Elfies"

Still a WIP, but I wanted to share the art of
"layering"

Starting with watercolour splodginess...

working over with coloured pencils,
and a touch of acrylic paint...

deepening the shadows and intensifying colours...

before adding all the little details.

I just love watching my creation grow.

Testing new blogger with art

Well that took longer than necessary to
get it to let me write anything!
And it doesn't seem to want to let me add labels?
The following images are art pieces I've made
during the 1st 2 months of

I've heard the picture quality is lower than

previous versions so lets see <3

Blessed Mabon to all.

I hope you all receive the Harvest you desire

To keep me sane while waiting I took part in
Kaleidoscope Taster week with Tamara Laporte.
One of the classes was about "Analogous" colour
schemes and we painted a "Mighty Lion"
I enjoyed the process so much it is currently my

 "Elegant Elephant"
 "Gentle Giraffe"
 " Opulent Okapi"
 "Pretty Platypus"

the full course begins in August :)

also this week I have had the company of
this stunning "Old Lady" moth in my art shed...

so I am totally in a "happy place" right now.
Hope you all are too XXX

Climbing a Summit...

Well that 3 weeks just flew by!!!
I was feeling the need to get back to painting for
a while, and a free summit appeared so I signed up
and have been happily playing in my own world.
(Lot of photo's so I'll just list them
and name the person who inspired )

 "In the Beginning"
 with Alexis Cohen

"I am here to catch you"
with Shiloh Sophia McCloud

(Sketch in my notebook while listening to
Amber Bonnici)

 "Be Free"
with Tamara Laporte

(a background I painted while listening to
Albert Flynn DeSilver)

"Let Go Goddess"
 with Christa Forrest

 "Create"
with Andrea Gommel

 "Acceptance"
With Beth Osmer and Freya Whitney
(worked over earlier background piece)

 "Moving Forward"
with Christina Miglino and Stephanie Ignazio

 "Freedon"
with Paula Tursi

 "Expectation"
with Jeanine Staples

"Witness"
with Benjamin Bernstein

 "Receive"
with Angela Blaha

"New Beginning"
with Alexis Cohen

Though some of these pieces were specifically art classes,
most were just interviews with very interesting people who
were sharing their personal "connection" with Spirit energy
in their creative practices. I found it all fascinating, and am
left feeling full of ideas for even more pieces.
The lesson I learned most was "Trust". Trust yourself
and your feelings. Trust your own abilities. Trust your
Higher self/Spirit Guides/Goddesses etc and be open to
the messages they are sending you. AND
Don't be afraid to ask for help!!!
So now I am off to rework a big canvas that was
nagging at me since I abandoned it last year, because this year
I am all about "Completion"
