The Cowgirls Get Creative!!!

WOO HOO!!! THE GIRLS ARE BACK IN TOWN!!!
And who better to get our new "Creative Cowgirl Challenge" off with a bang than Bombshell Stamps!! They have kindly offered to sponsor the 1st of our new fortnightly challenges. They sell both rubber and digi images so go check 'em out, they're awesome :D

And this is the card I made using some of their digi images. I used the classic rose tattoo image to make the backgroung paper, and printed out larger ones to make the decoupage element in the centre.

Didn't like the paper sentiment(felt a bit cheap) so i replaced it with a button :D
Hubby loves this "femme fatale", he says she looks like Jane Russell from the film Paleface. I just think she looks fabulous, reminds me of a friend of mine :D Wasn't there a song in that film called "Buttons and Bows"?

Now for the prizes!! The winner will recieve this fantastic stamp set from Bombshell called "All My Heart"

Isn't it gorgeous(though I am a tat head haha)

And each of the Top 3 will recieve a digi image from the ever fabulous Delicious Doodles!!

Wow!

OOPS!! Nearly forgot, " WHAT IS THE CHALLENGE?" I here you ask, simple "Anything Goes". We're just happy to be back in the saddle, so let's keep it easy and have some fun :D

I love my Nan!

This week the Glitterbabes Challenge is being sponsored by the wonderful Nana Vic, who gave us 2 glorious images to work with :D. I have used "Daisy Chain" because it's what I do with all the littlies as they get old enough. In fact, it is so me and my Annie(neice who is now 19 yrs old and a fully trained beautician)
The challenge this week is to make an easel card.

I've chosen to use sepia tones for a "classic memories" look, and I used Cinnamon Stickles to add some sparkle. I find this colour works perfectly with the rich brown tones.

I even added tiny amounts with a pin to the tiny daisy centres, add heaps to the larger paper flower centres :D

Hope you like this as much as I enjoyed making it :D XXX

You want HOW MANY for tomorrow?!??!!

Todays post was inspired by Flourishes' Timeless Tuesdays Challenge#93 "Just get on with it!". A timely reminder that Christmas will soon be upon us, and that it's no good putting things off any longer. I have been good this year and made most of my cards already, but I never quite get round to making any gift tags(and have to buy at last minute:( ), so today I have made a batch of 10 quick tags.

I have used one of June's collage sheet tags from Dezinaworld, and added party hats with one of June's new Png sets, printed 10 out onto 1 sheet of A4 card. I then coloured and added peel offs and ribbon. Took me half an hour to make all 10!!
I am also entering this project in Sir Stampalot's "Christmas Traditions" challenge, with paper crowns and Red/Green/Gold colour combi :D XXX

Glittery Rudolph!

I love this little trio from Roberta at Prairie Fairy called "Try outs". The expression on Rudolphs face is classic :D

This card is for my grown-up nephew, who will "dress-up" at the slightest excuse. Last year, he and 3 friends dressed up as a bobsliegh team, complete with bobsleigh, and spent the evening tied together. Going to the bar, buffet table and toilet all together. Very entertaining for the rest of the party guest :D

Glitterbabes Challenge#20 colour combi!

Today at Glitterbabe's we have a gorgeous colour combination for you, Orange Red Green

I have used Stef's "Cornicopia" image as all those lovely fruits n veg just lend themselves to the colour scheme :D I printed the image onto acetate and coloured from the back using promarkers and glitter. I didn't want the background to be too fussy so I embossed it with a folder called "Vine#1" from Indentz. The flower I made from 2 white flowers, coloured with promarkers and centred with a brad. Then ,just cos it wasn't quite glittery enough, I added some Candy Cane stickles to the red border :D

Woo Hoo! The Girls are Back in Town!!

I recently told you that the Cowgirls Posse had been disbanded because the site owner decided to close shop. Well some of us have decided we liked working together too much to let go, sooooo....
as from Sunday 21st November, we will be hosting a new fortnightly challenge of our own!!
Let me here you go "Woo Hoo!!"
It will be a challenge site with no affiliation to any one store, so all images will be welcome. We will be having sponsors and prizes, and the DT will of course be using the sponsors images, but you will be free to use your favourites.
The new site is called "Creative Cowgirls Challenge Blog". We would love all our regulars from the Cowgirl Sunday Challenge to call by and say hello, and even join us for some fun, cos that's what this challenge is all about :D
So watch out for updates in the coming week
Love as always :D XXX

Everyone's a winner at Dezinaworld!!!

June over at Dezinaworld has set up a wonderfully generous challenge this month. Anyone entering will recieve a voucher to use in her Collage shop. The only stipulation is that your entry must use a Dezinaworld image, but fear not, June has made several of her collage sheets available for FREE!
I have some Dezinaworld collage sheets already, but have chosen an image from one of the freebie sheets, to make a christmas card for my MIL.

I have enlarged one of the tags(12 on each sheet) to fit my A5 card, and the image is still perfect!!

Chritmas Turkey....NOT!!!

Well I was just thinking, what with all the "Christmas" challenges building, I should start on my Family cards(as opposed to all those I've made for charity) when this little beauty appeared in my side bar!!! She is from Digi's with Attitude. and I think she is just perfect for thanksgiving and christmas :D. Her name is "Gretta Gobble"

Now my baby Bro (40 yrs) is a muscular, tatooed, base playing Rocker, and on days like today(sunny) he will be up a mountain somewhere communing with nature :) He is a serious veggie too! So this image is perfect for his christmas card this year ;)

Sad News!!

Well I was shocked this morning to recieve a message from CJ to say she was closing down all her sites.

I don't know the reasons why she has feels she needs to do this, other than she has some health issues, and has been working very hard lately. I, for one, have been EXTREMELY PROUD to be counted among her posse, and have been right from the beginning. I was using CJ's images when she first started up selling through Stitchy Bear! I am going to miss seeing her new creations, and will continue to use them on my cards
I'm sure she would like to thank all those who regularly joined in with our challenges over at Cowgirls Up Challenge Blog.

Winter with Attitude!

Couldn't resist buying this image from Digi's With Attitude called "Grumpy Gretchen-Winter" :D How many "cool" young things have you seen in winter, not quite wearing enough layers to be able to enjoy the snowy sports haha!

Over at the DWA Challenge Blog, there is a link to a Grumpy Gretchen Freebie, go check it out, she's wicked :D
