Dark Love...

This is the first spread in my Octagonal Journal.
I decided to paint the inside covers with Rose Madder acrylic...
and rather than draw straight onto the book, I gathered some torn out desk diary pages to work on.
Drawn in pen, then seriously distressed with pencils and TH distress ink pads.
He is leaning on a tree, so that lead me to think he may have been carving a heart, which in turn lead me to "tangle" a heart...
Tangled emotions...
swirls representing Cupids Bow...
Close up of obsessed lover...
close up of tangled heart.
This page isn't finished yet, but I wanted to share the build up :D
I am linking him to Ayala Art's June Guys challenge
