Fab's Big Christmas challenge

Found a great weeklyish challenge while blog hopping. Fabrizio is planning on making a new christmas card each week as a challenge. This weeks is "alternative techniques". I'm usually quite traditional in my xmas cards, so prompted by hubby I've " done that thing where you cut the front out and fold the papers at the back in different colours" or iris folding as we crafters call it.
I embossed the tree with my Glitter Girls board, then cut it out to make an aperture. Instead of paper I used strips of ribbon, just working in a simple diagonal pattern, placed a piece of each ribbon to make a border, then finished of with flock sentiment sticker by Anna Griffen and a piece of broken earing to top the tree.
I think it came out quite well, what do you think?
love as always Gina x x x
