Their 1st challenge is "Anything Goes, with a twist", the twist being to use some yellow. Well I thought, in for a penny... I have used one of my fav rubber stamp images "Buttercup" from Crafter's Companions Flower Fairies collection. The inspiration for the background came from Scrappy's Sketch Sunday(the circle in a square), but it's too far removed to go in that challenge. I have used 2 shades of green and 2 shades of yellow ink(from various manufacturers). I lightly coloured the base card using a piece of "cut n dry",the yellows and lightest green, then edged with deeper green. I used a circle stencil to mask the square and deepend the colour inside the circle, then I overstamped using the darker green. I built up the colours on the images with the same 4 inks and a water brush. Finally I added glossy accents to the flowers, and a piece of yellow gingham ribbon/bow. The sentiment stamp is by Anna Grifffin.
Enough "yellow" for you? :D XXX
