Decided to try making a "busy" background to work on, so I dripped and splashed alcohol inks and spritzed paint onto my page, before edging with blue acrylic paint. (there is lime green and pale blue in the background, but it hasn't shown on camera :S)
Next I outlined a quick face...
and shaded with blue pencil...
before picking out details, doodle style, with blue ink
couple of close-ups :D
