Thankful for the light of Friendship :D

Second post Friday...for Postcard Challenge click HERE

This is my face no 10 for Ayala's 29 Faces in February challenge...

learned some not so nice stuff about online "relationships" this week. We all know about cyber bullying with kids, but come on folks...this shouldn't be happening amongst grown ups!!
I do not understand why people use alias's or multiple blogs to intimidate and try to control others...I am exactly who I am, my email address is on my blog clear to see so that if I ever offend anyone they can contact me directly. I know it's fun to create a new persona to separate yourself from the real world, but once you befriend some one, even online, you should be open and truthful with them.
This image represents someone who is lurking in the shadows....waiting for a chance to jump out and frighten or shock others around them. Please don't be that person!! I mean...he looks innocent enough, but is it really a he ? We only have the picture to go by.
I made this picture using the magazine photo for a template method, so just showing before and after pics :D
In between, layers of watercolour/guache/pencil blocks/stabillo pencil
So I am thankful this week that I have a Goddess who protects me from duplicity in others, and online friends who are exactly who they claim to be...you really do Rock my little World :D

Blessed Be

  3. I'm so sorry, Gina. Life is not always what it seems or what we want it to be is it. Take care ... sending love and light. xoDonna

  5. I love how you channeled your experience into your art...very cool. I had a disturbing exchange with someone on Fb yesterday, but came away with a better understanding of what I need to focus on. I know that I must be what I wish to create in the world, and should use my energy wisely. My angels are telling me that the inner and outer are not separate things, and that what I give my energy to will continue to be.
Guess I got off on a tangent, lol! Its a wonderful portrait, and a great way to move through the experience and release it =) Kathryn

  8. I'm so sorry you had this bad experience. It is a little disconcerting sometimes to think anyone out there has the ability to visit us online.

I like this portrait very much! The way you have shadowed one side of his face plays up the fact that he may or may not be what he claims to be.

  11. I find it incredible that adults would stoop so low to indulge in cyber bullying. Incredible and so very sad. I'm sorry you've experienced this.

Your page illustrates your feelings brilliantly.

  12. Oh I'm so sorry to read this Gina. Bullying in any form is horrible and scary and I just plain don't get it. We think we leave it behind when we leave school. Wishful thinking eh?

Your page is amazing, love the eeriness to it.

  13. I don't get this bunch, but I've experienced them. Not that long ago I stopped following someone's blog. The person wasn't being mean to me, but she would terrible comments on other people's sites. I don't need that in my life. Bullying is crap, and like Carmen said, scary. I wish it wasn't so prevalent.

    1. That's exactly what I noticed Magaly...a person who was nice as pie to some, yet horrible to those who didn't kiss ass...:D

  14. I whole heartedly agree with the replies above - cyber bullying should never be allowed no matter what - never understand how an adult can do such a thing!

Hope you have a beautiful and blessed weekend and I too am glad you have a Goddess by your side

    Much hugs
