This weeks prompt from A Dash of Sunny...
This is a subject I'm not very good at
so I share a canvas I re-used to illustrate my dilemma ...
"Gardener's Rest"
" Think...
Busy...
Busy...
Busy...
Busy...
Busy...
Busy...
Busy...
Busy...
Busy...
Busy...
Busy...
Relax
Eat
Sleep
Think
REST?"
Hope your better at it than I am lol
Enjoy XXX
Lol! Love the sparkling wit and humor and gosh those paintings are absolutely gorgeous! Beautifully executed. Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights and for your constant love and support :D :D
ReplyDeleteLots of love,
Sanaa
You do get better at it and or accepting unrest as part of your life. Love your art work.
ReplyDeleteFirstly "Gardeners Rest" is a stunning painting. What better way to use your rest than to indulge in those four characteristics. P.S. I may have added E (Enjoy) and D (Drink) for Rested but each to his/her own!
ReplyDeleteI am not sure that I am better at it--I loved your work Gina!
ReplyDeleteI can't not be busy and involved in something, even when sat 'resting' I will still have a puzzle book in my hand. But I think art is both busy and restful at the same time, depends on how we view things I suppose.. Lovely to see your fab paintings together like this. Have a great weekend xxx
ReplyDeleteLol! what a fun way to express so eloquently...wowzers :) Love the paintings...
ReplyDeleteChuckles! A twist to the whole concept of rest aptly asserted through the beautiful canvas offerings!
ReplyDeleteHank
Not at all better at it - i think it's one of the hardest things to achieve..particularly if you have a head that just won't switch off - your artwork however is stunning and if you couldn't rest at least you produced some amazing work!
ReplyDeleteI'm laughing because I know we are both incapable of what others might consider "real rest". Also because we both think of gardening as resting. So very witchy. ♥♥
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, beautiful artwork. and rest--- hmmm!
ReplyDeleteYour art is so layered and amazing!
ReplyDeleteAfter all that being busy, you needed some rest! ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the layering of your artwork! <3
ha ha - had a good chuckle. What a great way to illustrate these 'feelings' ... you know the old saying .. "No rest for the wicked." I definitely have the same issues with rest when I am well. At the moment it is most annoying that I can't work up to my normal speed. Great paintings, Gina. Enjoyed. hugs, Donna
ReplyDeleteLove this, I am smiling as I witness the frenetic pace through your wonderful graphics and at last the moment for rest :-)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! Your busy is beautiful, and I like the way you use illustrations/canvas to capture this state of rest.♥
ReplyDeleteLOL...love it! I have often teased my mother in law about not being one to know how to slow down and rest from all of her activities - until her daughters (my sisters-in-law) rightly pointed out that was the pot calling the kettle black! :D Here's to all my creative and active sisters for whom rest just means doing more of what you love. :D
ReplyDeleteLOL! You are adorable!!! Love the creation!
