Here's to New Beginnings.

Hi everyone :D
Hope your all recovering well from the Holiday season...
Me I'm looking forward to getting stuck in to the freshness of a new year.
In my garden the Cowslips are already flowering...
and the Snowdrops are fighting their way out of their muddy bed.
At the lake, the Swans were enjoying a wash in the fresh clear water
and drying in the warmth of a bright sunny day... :D
Definitely overindulged in the "cardmaking" to the end of last year
so am now obsessing over yarn crafts lol
*Knitting myself a coat*
Saw this yarn on sale at Hobby Craft...
bought 16 balls in black*no surprise there lol*
Then went back for a few more in random colours
to use in my doll making this year.
It's that stuff they make ruffle scarves with,
but I'm using it as chunky yarn for my coat.
So my new starts are ...
1 coat
1 cross stitch (to go in a box frame)
and 15 dolls for PIF gifts....

should keep me busy for January :D

  2. The image of the snowdrops peeping out made me smile. I love the way Nature reminds us that life is always moving and shining... under the mud.

Love the black yarn and the colorful yarn. Can't wait to see your coat!

  3. Ohmigosh, I can't believe you have flowers coming up already! We're in a total deep freeze at the moment - the windows are so frosted up we can barely see out.

A coat is very ambitious - I'm going to attempt my first sweater in over forty years but I'm a little nervous to start. I hope you share the finished project! Excellent choice on the colour BTW. ;)

  5. Took up wooly crafts once more - mostly to keep me from noshing in front of the TV, can't get crumbs on the wool! ^^
