"By the margin, willow veil'd,
Slid the heavy barges trail'd
By slow horses, and unhail'd
The shallop flitteth silken-sail'd
Skimming down to Camelot:
But who hath seen her wave her hand?
Or at the casement seen her stand?
Or is she known in all the land,
But who hath seen her wave her hand?
Or at the casement seen her stand?
Or is she known in all the land,
"Only reapers, reaping early,
In among the bearded barley
Hear a song that echoes cheerly
From the river winding clearly;
Not very practised at male faces, but have to keep trying...and there is Sir Lancelot amongst others still to come :D
Great painting and drawing, the male faces are wonderful, too.

It's good to see your paintings, Gina. Lots to learn from your pics of paintings in different stages. The Lady of Shallot and the background looks great.
ReplyDeleteOh....I had to comment here about your Sketch Book Tour dedicated to your Dad..It made me happy and think of my own Dad and Mom. Dad , I lost when I was 16, Mom I lost last November to cancer. The world is not the same without them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for such a lovely compliment. I hoped sharing those memories would help people find their happy memories too. It is too easy these days to remain focussed on what took them from us, rather than why we loved them so much :D XXX
DeleteBeautiful and I love the progression as you created these pages. She looks so thoughtful and your dudes are not bad at all!
