The Queen of Hearts

This weeks theme at The Butterfly Effect is Tarot Cards.
Even if you don't believe in their alleged mystical properties, they are undoubtedly  responsible for the creation of some awesome artwork.
I am combining this with my 9th of 31 Hearts for July
May I introduce the Queen of Hearts.
There are four suits in the Tarot cards...and hearts isn't actually one of them :D
The actual suits are Wands, Swords. Cups and Pentacles...

but it is believed they inspired the four suits system in regular playing cards.
A simple ink drawing...
coloured with water colour pencils

I was trying for an organic, stained glass window effect :D
She represents Love, comfort and strength.

Enjoy :D XXX
