Grabbed some art time after watching Pixie Allen's video yesterday, where she reminded me I have craft paints too :D
I took my subject inspiration from this months challenge at Journal Journeys...CHILDREN
I used some of my scrummy pearlescent craft paints to create a background
...then blocked out a child-like figure.
I picked out a little detail with a fine black marker...
And what is she so excited about????
Snow :D
I used a pale pink, and then a strong white trough a bubble stencil with a sponge, to get an irregular effect, making sure to overlap the figure to add perspective.
the journalling was added with a sakura souffle pen, and reads;
"The miracles of Nature are always visible...through the eyes of CHILDREN"
Enjoy :D XXX

Gina, great art when it makes us reminisce. used to sled ride, ice skate, build snow forts. Would stay outside so long we had to come in and change socks and gloves. We'd put plastic bags over our socks to help stay dry. Love your background color and the snow falling.
