I may not be able to get to my paints, but it doesn't really matter at this time of year.
As Autumn progresses and the temperature starts to drop it is time to prepare for Winter (by which I mean knitting :D )
A simple cabled band to keep my ears warm...
and a chunky snood for extra protection...
(I still think humans are designed for hibernation)
And while I'm doing wool...
Say hello to Ravyn...
This little faerie has feathery black and blue hair, a fluffy "tail" skirt and long birdlike wings...
and will be flying to a Love Crow's nest very shortly :D
Enjoy :D (and to those in the northern hemisphere...start wrapping up soon)

Oooh no! It can't be hibernation time yet.....can it?!

Well I am wearing socks...so it must be getting close lol
DeleteGina, you look so cute! I am ready to hibernate too ;o) I am getting excited because I can see the leaves changing and the nights are coming sooner ;o)
ReplyDeleteMy friend, is this precious mine? I am crying happy tears! Gina, I am so blessed to have you as such a great friend! Love you!
Big Hugs ;o) Trying to kick my ass into gear ;o) I am changing around my painting room ;o)
Yes she is for you sweetheart. She is full of determination and raring to go, but I have to find her jewels first :D
DeleteDetermination is what I woke up with this morning! I I felt Ravyn's power ;o) Big Warm Hugs ;o)
DeleteBeautiful pieces Gina!
ReplyDeleteOoooooo - gorgeous piece of knitting! That will keep you really cozy. LOVE the doll - you are so talented! xoDonna
ReplyDeleteI agree Gina I'd quite happily hibernate from October through to about April every year!
ReplyDeleteThat snood looks fantastic! And I am amazed by your knitting prowess! To knit a whole doll!
ReplyDeleteYou've been redecorating! Looks great! And the dolly is lovely! Perfect for lovely Stacy! The snood is fab too and I agree, we need to hibernate in winter! ;)
ReplyDeleteI already told you on Facebook, but I'm saying again: I love that second picture of you. Makes me want to write a story about a witch in some Gothic mildly medieval town--she's quite mysterious, the witch. ;-D
ReplyDeleteAnd Ravyn is a beaute!
Sounds like a past life to me lol
DeleteSnood? another magical word for me to play with! I love your uplifting Autumn dance, but If it wasn't for the best time of year to lull me into the freezer, I'd be hitch hiking to Costa Rica!
ReplyDeleteRavyn is remarkable! Safe journey to Magic Love Crow! xoxoDebi
I hope she has a nice flight to her new home.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love Ravyn!!! I laugh (to myself) that you're preparing for fall. Here in the swamps of Louisiana, it's nearing 100 degrees lately. Ouch! I, too, bring out my yarn when cool weather finally arrives, but I crochet light scarves and purses. Enjoy your weather!! xo
