Hubby says it is so me lol
Hubby has a lot of shirts for work(clean on everyday...short and long sleeved), but they do need replacing regularly...and I hate the waste of putting all that fabric into the recycling...
soooooooo I cut out all the nice bits to make patchwork with :D
and what a huge piece they made (and this isn't all the pieces)
I bought a value single bed sheet in black for backing fabric and straps,
and now I have a new swooshy pinny!
Why don't they make women's clothes out of the same fabric they use for men's shirts?
I always preferred wearing men's shirts (daisy duke style)...and now I can wear hubby's every day :D
Enjoy :D XXX
Fabulous as always
ReplyDeleteI love using "worn out" things for something else and now I know I have another sister in crime in you. Love the pinny. I've got one I use whilst mucking out the garage. Makes me feel like I have a superwoman cape on......perhaps backwards, but it always makes the work go faster. Great job my dear, xoxo Oma Linda
ReplyDeleteI love your " pinafore" You do know you have started a Trend .....husbands everywhere all over U.K. Will have chunks missing from their shirts! The Daily Mirror will be all over this!
ReplyDeleteWell done xo
How cute is that??? I'm the same way about any kind of fabric...I recycle it all. I'm working on a tee shirt quilt now made from 20 years' worth of tees. Thanks for sharing! xo
ReplyDeleteI love your creative repurposing of your hubby's shirts. Very cute on you too!
ReplyDeleteLooks really nice! And great colours! Men's shirts are nice!
ReplyDeleteI bet that every single time you put this on, you'll think of your Patrick. It's like having him hug you all day. Love the colors and the style.
ReplyDelete...and the herbs drying on the background, too! :-D ♥♥♥
