People I love

Just waiting....

I have been struggling to write lately
as I choose to try not to offend.
Every one says we are entitled to free speech
and our own opinion on whatever...
unless you are on the opposite side of the argument to them.
So I choose not to join in....but I am getting bored now.
Bored is not good.
It leaves room for annoyance and anger.
I don't like being angry. It is a waste of energy.
So I just wait....

Silently I wait.
A dull soft warmth within.
Will you sit with me?
Will you rekindle the spark of life
and share that warmth again?
Do you prefer to fan the flames that
destroyed my desire...
or will you watch silently,
patiently waiting til the time is right?

While you consider
I will just wait.
Silently watching.
Protecting my inner flame.

Blessed Spring Equinox to all XXX

  1. Whistles!!❤️💝This is such a beautifully poignant write, Gina. I can feel the emotions here so strong so palpable.. sigh especially "Will you rekindle the spark of life and share that warmth again?" I will always be first in line to rekindle that spark 😍 Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights and for your constant love and support❤️💝

    Lots of love,

  2. You must never let your inner flame be extinguished. How important always to have your own voice and be who we really want to be.

  3. Love the strength that comes through in this Gina as well as the tender caring thoughts, you are both of these things xxx

  4. I love the serenity that emanates out of the poem, the request... I'm sitting right with you, waiting for better times, balancing expression with the little tact Nature gave me. It's not easy. There is so much that I want to say, but most of it will have to way... until the words are food and not fire.

  5. I will sit with you!!! I don't like being angry either! This is such a moving piece Gina! Always be you! You are a wonderful person! Big Hugs!

  6. Having the same feeling. Sadly opinion divides, revieales character, even in the virtual world. As in real life, this divides. xoDebi
