We Birth Monsters

Today is the start of

Tis a weekend to share the Love....
but it is Halloween,
and I still needed it to have a wee bit of darkness
about it so...
for all the Mums who struggle *for whatever reason*

We Birth Monsters

They call him "Monster".
How could someone so Loving and Stable birth such a creation?
See how she Protects It. Always seeing the Good in It.
Always taking It's side!
Can she not see the Anger and Hate in It's eyes?
Can she not Feel how Black is It's heart?

I call him Child.
Provide Him with a Loving and Stable Home.
I will Protect Him at all cost.
I can see so clearly the Goodness in His soul.
I will Always stand by His side.
I hold His hand as He walks in Fear, seeing the
Terror in His eyes.
I Feel the Love in His Heart!

Can They not see the Monster They are creating in Me?

Love and Strength to all who need it

  3. Our children are the best art we can ever create, the most inspiring too... And yes, as the speaker suggests, anyone who goes against someone else's young, who threatens him or her, should run like hell from the monster their behavior will create.

Love the words. Love the warrior paint in the monstrously loving mom.

Thank you for adding your roar to my October's Heart-Bits!

  4. *Standing Ovation*

Hells yes, Grendel might be a monster, but it is Grendel's mother who proves to be the most ferocious especially in defense of her child.

  9. Oh, yes! You've brilliantly captured limitless mother's love with both words and artwork. A warrior, who always see the good even when the world cannot decipher. Love is love is love..., indeed. Thank goodness for mothers!

    2. Mine is turning 21 in February! *gulp* Primary school was a nightmare... parents, teachers, and other kids. I had a pre-school teacher tell me that I should put him in a special school and not "inflict" him on the other children. I ignored this *advice* and now he's doing second year of an Arts degree at university and has a volunteer job helping out at the local council Youth Services. Long live monster mothers!!! ;) xo

    3. That was truly awful thing to say to any parent!!!So glad your son has an extraordinary Mother. My son's entire school experience was a nightmare that has coloured his opinion of Education completely, but we found a college course on Gaming Development whee he has made some very interesting and supportive friends XXX

  12. You captured Mom-hood so perfectly! Only we, as mothers, are allowed to call our children monsters (lovingly). Anyone else gets to feel our wrath! Love the artwork! You are an amazement!

  13. This explores places, fears, and rages that every mother's heart contains, whether they admit it or not, and every child's as well--I think 'monster' like beauty, is so often in the eye of the beholder, and defining by love changes everything.
