This is my face no 21...
Saw a page made with a scraped on paint background so I just had to give it a go :D blobbed some acrylic onto the top edge of my trusty altered board book, and scrapped down with an old plastic store card....
and woohoo!! Gorgeous instant smooshie colourfulness :D The excess paint I mushed onto the opposite page and got some fabulous texture with the collage base showing through :D
Next to try gel transfers AGAIN :S On our girlie day out, the lovely Clare aka "got paint in my hair" suggested I was not using enough gel, so I chose 2 pre printed images form a glossy collage sheet...."poured" gel on and...
pressed face down into book.
And IT WORKED!!!!! Thank you so much Clare :D
So now a quick marking out of features....
and a few layers of watercolour and pencil..and one Happy Faerie ;D
I am liking VERY much this technique of leaving layers showing through :D XXX

I really adore this look - and as you say leaving layers showing through makes it even better and certainly more interesting. Gotta try it. Thanks for sharing. xoDonna

DeleteI love this delicious winking face, the background is very nice. Greetings.
ReplyDeleteIs she winking at me? I know she's winking at me! Maybe is because that thing I said about loving her rainbow skin, long neck and unreadable gaze. *winks*
ReplyDeleteI saw this on facebook, she is so adorable. I just had to say it again. Gina I love the way your art is going and I can't wait to see some more. I love this face challenge and I am going to carry on with it. I hope you do too!
