Faeries Wink ;D

Wow! Can't believe we are almost finished on the 29 Faces for February challenge!!!
This is my face no 21...
Saw a page made with a scraped on paint background so I just had to give it a go :D blobbed some acrylic onto the top edge of my trusty altered board book, and scrapped down with an old plastic store card....
and woohoo!! Gorgeous instant smooshie colourfulness :D The excess paint I mushed onto the opposite page and got some fabulous texture with the collage base showing through :D
Next to try gel transfers AGAIN :S On our girlie day out, the lovely Clare aka "got paint in my hair" suggested I was not using enough gel, so I chose 2 pre printed images form a glossy collage sheet...."poured" gel on and...
pressed face down into book.
And IT WORKED!!!!! Thank you so much Clare :D
So now a quick marking out of features....
and a few layers of watercolour and pencil..and one Happy Faerie ;D
I am liking VERY much this technique of leaving layers showing through :D XXX

  1. I really adore this look - and as you say leaving layers showing through makes it even better and certainly more interesting. Gotta try it. Thanks for sharing. xoDonna

  3. Is she winking at me? I know she's winking at me! Maybe is because that thing I said about loving her rainbow skin, long neck and unreadable gaze. *winks*
