Struggling to stay indoors during this sunny spell,
but Alicia needs a head lol.
Sculptured fabric and white gesso...
soft layering with acrylic pant....
line work with pencil...
detailing with more vibrant acrylics
(Alicia is as strong a young lady as Alice)
Though she was having "hair issues" this morning lol
A tip from their mutual friend soon sorted the problem :D
Just a few finishing touches(and a story to write)
and she'll be ready to go to her new home.
Enjoy XXX

ReplyDeleteShe is looking amazing Gina, I cant wait for more. Can you explain a bit about structured fabric ? not heard that term before. x
ReplyDelete"Sculptured" lol...as in you make the basic head shape then use stitches to pull the features into shape...corners of the eyes/mouth and nostrils, before sealing in place with gesso/paint/glue XXX
ReplyDeleteWow - she is awesome, I love the sculptured face, do you fix the paint Gina with fabric medium or just paint it?
ReplyDeleteI just paint it, and when totally dry I spray with Fixative or in this case Satin varnish.
DeleteSo, so clever and creative Gina, I love your ability to pull things together like this, just brilliant. Have a great weekend xxx
ReplyDeleteShe is fantastic Gina!! Your nail polish goes with her eyes!! Love her hair! Big Hugs!
